Much of our 30-year history (formerly as Northern Power Systems), has centered around wind power technology. We have successfully installed wind turbine systems in some of the most demanding applications in the world. In 2000, our 100 kW turbine, the NorthWind 100, received the prestigious R&D 100 award from R&D World magazine, and more recently, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) honored our team with the 2006 Technical Achievement Award for contributions to advanced wind turbine power converter development.
